In a recent interview on “The Daily Show,” President Biden issued a grave warning about the effects of climate change.
The President expressed concern that young people between 18 and 35 years old, who have shown up to vote in the last two elections due to concerns over the environment, will not have a future to look forward to if we don’t act on climate change.
Biden stated that “Mother Nature” is angry with how humans have treated the earth, citing the increase in extreme weather and forest fires since he took office.
He emphasized the need to keep the temperature from going above 1.5 degrees Celsius, saying that the whole generation is at risk if we fail to do so.
The President also touted his plan to move towards electric vehicles, urging automakers to make the shift.
Biden signed an executive order requiring half of all new auto sales in 2030 to be electric vehicles.
Despite this, a leaked memo from the Biden administration revealed that the White House still plans to raise royalty fees for an oil and gas lease sale off the coast of Alaska as part of Biden’s climate change agenda.
Republicans should take heed of the President’s warning and work towards a sustainable future for all.
