The Republican Party of Georgia condemned Harris’ visit, calling it “deplorable” that she was campaigning for funds while the border crisis remains unresolved and inflation continues to rise. They criticized her for prioritizing fundraising over addressing the pressing challenges facing the nation.
When questioned about the criticism, Harris deflected blame by emphasizing that immigration is Congress’ responsibility, echoing the stance of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
