Uncover The Unexpected Link Between The President and NEA

The recent comments made by first lady Jill Biden proclaiming her husband, President Joe Biden, as the “”education president”” have drawn widespread criticism and scrutiny. Education leaders and concerned parents across the country have voiced their dissent, shedding light on the failures and misguided priorities of the Biden administration when it comes to education.

Sheri Few, president and founder of United States Parents Involved in Education, responded to Jill Biden’s statement, highlighting the president’s support for the liberal NEA agenda and labeling him as the most anti-parent education president in history. Few emphasized that Biden’s Department of Justice attempted to brand parents as domestic terrorists for objecting to explicit content and critical theories being taught in schools.

The “”Nation’s Report Card”” recently revealed a disturbing decline in reading and math scores among 13-year-olds, reaching the lowest levels in decades. Many experts and critics attribute this decline to the prolonged school closures encouraged by the Biden administration.

Erika Sanzi, director of outreach at Parents Defending Education and a former educator, strongly criticized the president’s approach to education. Sanzi accused Biden of prioritizing the demands of teachers’ unions over the well-being of students, locking children out of schools for an extended period, and demonizing parents who expressed legitimate concerns. She argued that under Biden’s leadership, two decades of progress in reading and math have evaporated.

Dr. Jameson Taylor, American Family Association senior fellow and director of policy for AFA Action, pointed out Biden’s missed opportunity to be a transformative figure in education.

Taylor asserted that instead of prioritizing core subjects like reading, writing, and math, the president has been preoccupied with pushing divisive ideologies such as critical race theory (CRT) and transgender policies. Taylor argued that these ideological pursuits compromise student safety and distract from the fundamental goals of education.

The discontent with the Biden administration’s education policies reflects a growing sentiment among parents and education experts. The concern over school closures, declining academic performance, and the promotion of divisive ideologies has ignited a wave of criticism.

It is evident that Biden’s claim of being the education president lacks credibility and fails to resonate with those who have witnessed the negative consequences of his policies.

As responsible citizens, it is imperative to hold our leaders accountable and demand meaningful reform in education. Our children’s future depends on it, and we must advocate for a focus on quality education that prioritizes the well-being and academic success of every student.
