The Unseen Crisis That Needs Your Attention, You ‘ll Be Shocked

The day we’ve all been dreading has arrived, and the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis is nothing short of disastrous. As of May 11, the Title 42 public health emergency has ended, leaving our border vulnerable and exposed. This administration’s approach to border security has been a complete failure, and the consequences are dire.

Over the past 27 months, we’ve witnessed an unprecedented humanitarian and security crisis at the southern border. The situation has reached historic proportions, and yet the Biden administration seems unfazed by the gravity of the issue. Instead of taking decisive action, they have chosen to downplay the crisis and ignore the consequences of their policies.

With the end of Title 42, the administration has effectively eliminated the only remaining measure of border enforcement. This means that the approximately 50,000 illegal aliens who were expelled each month will now face no consequences for crossing the border unlawfully. It’s a green light for anyone seeking to enter the country illegally, and the cartels and migrants know it.

The Biden administration may claim that they are implementing an effective enforcement policy through expedited removal under Title 8. However, this is nothing more than a smokescreen. There is a glaring loophole in expedited removal that the cartels exploit, allowing migrants to claim asylum regardless of the legitimacy of their claims. In the end, only a fraction of these individuals will actually qualify for asylum, but the damage is already done.

It’s worth noting that there is a proven alternative to this failed approach. During the Trump administration, the Remain in Mexico policy provided genuine humanitarian protections to those who qualified for asylum without releasing a flood of illegal aliens into American communities. This policy was successful in reducing fraudulent asylum claims and ensuring that our laws were upheld.

The Biden administration’s response to the impending crisis has been nothing short of desperate. The last-minute deployment of 1,500 National Guard troops to the border is a feeble attempt to address a problem they failed to adequately prepare for. However, these troops lack the authority to enforce the law and will be limited to administrative and processing duties.

In addition to the troop deployment, the administration announced a new asylum rule on May 10, touting it as a tough measure to impose penalties on illegal aliens. But once again, the reality falls short of the rhetoric. The rule is filled with loopholes that perpetuate the trafficking of vulnerable migrant children and enable adults to exploit the system by forming fake families.

It’s clear that the Biden administration is more interested in playing politics than in addressing the true magnitude of the border crisis. They continue to make excuses, blaming Congress and claiming they are “working within significant constraints.” But the truth is, their ineffective policies are the root cause of the disaster at the border.

As passionate Republican voters, it’s crucial that we demand change. We need a new enforcement posture at the border that focuses on upholding the rule of law and protecting vulnerable migrants from the cartels. Border Patrol agents must be deployed to enforce the law effectively, rather than being confined to processing centers.

Moreover, the administration must take responsibility for its failures and be honest with the American people. Recent polls have shown that the majority of voters believe securing the border is of utmost importance. However, only a small fraction believe that the Biden administration is serious about addressing the issue.
