President Biden was caught once again using a cheat sheet during a press conference with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol in the White House Rose Garden. The cheat sheet had a pre-written question from a Los Angeles Times journalist along with a pronunciation breakdown of her last name.
The president had advanced knowledge of the question and was signaled to call on the reporter first. The question read, “How are YOU squaring YOUR domestic priorities — like reshoring semiconductors manufacturing — with alliance-based foreign policy?”
This is not the first time Biden has relied on detailed cheat sheets. In fact, he was ridiculed for it in the past, with critics calling them an indication that the White House has lost faith in the 80-year-old commander-in-chief amid concerns about his mental acuity.
In March 2022, Biden displayed a list of prepared answers during a White House news briefing after his “this man cannot remain in power” comment about Russian President Vladimir Putin, which raised questions about his support for regime change in Russia.
It seems that President Biden cannot seem to rely on his own abilities to answer questions and is being fed answers by his staff.
The American people deserve a president who is capable of thinking on his feet and answering questions without the help of a cheat sheet. This latest incident only highlights the growing concern about President Biden’s mental and physical ability to serve as the leader of the free world.
