In a fiery exchange during a press conference, National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby found himself on the hot seat as he struggled to address the growing concern over President Biden’s alleged corruption.
The confrontation began when New York Post reporter Steven Nelson pointed out that a majority of Americans, including a significant portion of Democrats, now believe that Biden was involved in an illicit influence peddling scheme with his son Hunter during his time as vice president.
Nelson asked Kirby directly, “What do you say to the majority of Americans who believe that the president is himself corrupt?” The response, or lack thereof, from Kirby, was nothing short of shocking. He appeared speechless, initially responding with a mere “Wow,” as he shook his head in disbelief. The room erupted with reactions, including an audible “Jesus!” and chuckles from other reporters.
After an uncomfortably long pause, Kirby finally managed to muster a response. However, it left much to be desired. He simply stated, “The president has spoken to this, and there’s nothing to these claims.” Kirby attempted to brush off the allegations by referring to the whistleblower issue and suggesting people consult the FBI for more information.
Twitter exploded with criticism aimed at Kirby for his evasiveness and apparent frustration. Social media users were quick to point out that Kirby completely ignored the question and disregarded the ongoing investigation into the Biden family.
Radio host Buck Sexton posed a thought-provoking question, asking, “What did the Chinese communist party think they were getting in return for funneling millions of dollars to Hunter Biden?”
Sarcasm and mockery also flooded the internet. Doug Powers from Twitchy sarcastically wrote, “‘There’s nothing to this because Biden says so.’ Well, in that case, call off the investigation!” Meanwhile, writer Jeff Carlson highlighted the contradiction in Biden’s denials, tweeting, “The only thing I heard Biden denying was his involvement w/Hunter’s Business Deals. And that’s been demonstrably proven to be a lie.”
Former congressional candidate David Giglio chimed in, sarcastically exclaiming, “Well, if Joe Biden says he’s not corrupt, then that settles it. I’m convinced!” He accompanied his statement with facepalm and clown emojis, emphasizing the incredulity of the situation.
Amidst the uproar, writer Kate Kisset brought attention to the devastating consequences of the Biden administration’s hasty Afghanistan withdrawal. She reminded everyone of Kirby’s previous statement, where he downplayed the chaos and claimed, “For all this talk of chaos, I just didn’t see it.” Kisset called out the administration’s disregard for the lives lost, the wounded, and the abandonment of Americans and Afghan allies who risked everything to help.
It is becoming increasingly apparent that the Biden administration thinks the American people are naïve and gullible. National Mouth editor Tim Young summed it up perfectly, stating, “The Biden administration truly thinks you’re stupid.”
The mounting allegations of corruption, coupled with the ongoing investigation by the House Oversight Committee, leave no room for complacency. Americans deserve transparency and accountability from their leaders. The truth must prevail, no matter how uncomfortable it may be for those in power.
