The Biden administration is at it again, trying to stir the pot with new policies that could further divide our great nation. According to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, the administration is considering asking Black Americans if their ancestors were slaves in the next government census.
What is the purpose of this? They claim they want to curate how many Black Americans descended from enslaved Americans. But in reality, this could just be another attempt to push reparations for slavery. The Biden administration is always looking for ways to virtue signal and pander to minority communities, and this is just another example.
The Wall Street Journal article claims that the Black community has issued calls for a more detailed census to differentiate Black Americans from each other. But is this really necessary? One in five Black people in the US are immigrants or their children, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. So why create more divisions among our people?
This potential change comes after the San Francisco reparations panel called for every black slave descendant to receive $5 million in reparations. This is just another example of the left’s obsession with reparations, even though slavery ended over 150 years ago.
We cannot allow the Biden administration to continue with its divisive policies. We must stand together as Americans, united by our shared values and love for this great country. Say no to the census changes and push back against the left’s agenda of division and reparations.
