President Donald Trump has been cleared of any possible collusion between his 2016 campaign and Russian interference. Now, he’s showing what he intends to do in response.
While obviously relieved by Mueller’s findings, President Trump is also understandably upset with the amount of effort it took to prove his innocence to Democrats. Now he’s looking to even the score.
“There are a lot of people out there that have done some very, very evil things, very bad things, I would say treasonous things against our country,” Trump shared with White House reporters.
Later Trump would revisit that remark while receiving his guest, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Those people will certainly be looked at. I’ve been looking at them for a long time,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “And I’m saying: why haven’t they been looked at? They lied to Congress. Many of them. You know who they are.”
These remarks suggest that Democrats have much to fear in the way of retaliation from the Trump Administration. Considering this million dollar “witch hunt” has lasted two years, the comeuppance is likely past due.
