I admit it. I shouldn’t have laughed at this. But I did. I (quite literally) laughed out loud when I read this story.
Why? Because, admittedly, I feel a sadistic glee when a leftist’s policies come back to bite them.
See, leftist politicians say that they want to help the poverty stricken, but, then, they pass laws which increase the number of poverty stricken people under their “control.” And, yes, that means that at least part of the reason that homeless people tend to be so abundant in liberal areas is because of those leftist policies in place.
So, when I read what happened to one of the farthest left governors in America, well, I laughed because his policies very likely contributed, in a roundabout way, to his own assault. Zachary Stieber writes,
California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday was assaulted as he visited a pizza parlor in Oakland.
“This morning, the Governor was approached by an aggressive individual. Members of the Governor’s security detail removed the Governor from the situation and the individual was arrested by CHP officers,” the California Highway Patrol, which helps protect the governor, said in a statement to news outlets.
The man hurled a water bottle at Newsom, who was in the area to tour several small businesses, local media reported.
So, a homeless guy threw a bottle of water at Newsom? Really, Newsome should be thankful it was only that. The ongoing effort to recall him and get him out of the Governor’s Mansion (which has been steadily gaining steam) indicates that people in California aren’t happy with this guy.
And why would they be? He’s locked down the state longer and harder than almost any other state in America and ruined the economy there. People are fleeing the state in droves, and both he and the mainstream media pretend that Newsom is doing a great job there.
On the one hand, I don’t advocate violence against those that I disagree with politically (unlike Antifa and BLM activists), but, on the other hand, I don’t feel any sympathy for Newsom in this situation either.
So, did you laugh, too, when you read this story? Tell us below.
