Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has recently come under fire from both sides of the political spectrum for his remarks on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In his response to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, DeSantis described the situation as a “territorial dispute” and questioned the U.S.’s involvement.
Vice President Kamala Harris, among other politicians, has criticized DeSantis for his comments.
During an interview with Stephen Colbert, Harris stated that anyone who truly understood the issues at hand would not make such statements.
DeSantis’s stance on Ukraine has caused a stir within the Republican party, with some questioning his experience in foreign policy and national security issues.
Despite the backlash, DeSantis remains a popular figure among Republican voters and is considered a top choice for the 2024 presidential race.
