Hello, fellow patriots! Once again, it looks like the Democrats are up to no good, and this time it’s New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the hot seat.
As you may have heard, a two-year federal investigation found that AOC’s campaign failed to properly disclose some of its expenses. But even with this damning evidence, the Federal Election Commission voted to let her off the hook.
Here’s the scoop: political action committees Brand New Congress and Justice Democrats “did not properly disclose the purpose of the disbursements” to other shell companies that were set up by AOC’s former chief of staff during her first run for Congress in 2018, according to the FEC.
The FEC’s six-member panel voted 4-2 to dismiss a government watchdog complaint against AOC, despite the findings of the investigation that showed several instances of failing to follow the rules and law.
It’s not just the FEC that is giving AOC problems. The House Office of Congressional Ethics found there is “substantial reason to believe” that Ocasio-Cortez might have violated federal law when she accepted “impermissible gifts” linked to her 2021 attendance at the Met Gala.
At the event, AOC wore a dress with the words “Tax the Rich” on it, but the circumstances surrounding her attendance and wardrobe choices may have broken federal law and House rules, according to the bipartisan Board of the Office of Congressional Ethics.
The Board recommends that the Committee further review the above allegation that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez accepted impermissible gifts associated with her attendance at the Met Gala.
It’s clear that AOC has a lot of explaining to do, and it’s up to us to hold her accountable. We can’t let these Democrats get away with breaking the law and not following the rules. Let’s stand together and demand justice for all!
