How many times do we have to say it? The Biden administration is a raging dumpster fire of screw ups, failings, and attempts to use the Federal government for the benefit of Democrat politicians and bureaucrats.
No matter how many times we say it, though, it’s true, and the corruption continues. And it’s this bad after less than six months being in office at the time of this writing.
One state’s Attorney General, though, has called out Biden’s Department of Justice, currently being run by Merrick Garland, for using Federal power for Democrat political gain. If you’re not familiar with the current Department of Justice situation involving the State of Georgia, you can find out more here. Tom Ozimek writes about Georgia’s reply,
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr took aim at the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) recently announced lawsuit against the state’s election law, calling the move “constitutionally wrong” and politically motivated.
In a Monday interview on Fox News, Carr objected to Friday’s decision by the DOJ to file a lawsuit against Georgia over the state’s recently passed Election Integrity Act, arguing that, “this blatantly political action taken by the United States Department of Justice is factually, legally and constitutionally wrong,” while alleging that the Justice Department was being “weaponized.”
Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the lawsuit at a press conference on Friday, alleging the Georgia elections law is a violation of the federal Voting Rights Act’s protections for minority voters.
Of course, anyone familiar with the situation knows that Carr is correct: the DOJ’s lawsuit against the State of Georgia is an attempt to prevent the State of Georgia from having any ability to make sure that their elections are secure and honest. Democrats don’t want that, and some would say that the reason for Democrat opposition to new election laws in Georgia is because they want to steal elections. The very fact that multiple blue states have more restrictive election laws than Georgia’s without any threat of lawsuits from the DOJ would seem to support this reasoning. Georgia has been a red state in previous elections, after all.
What will come of this lawsuit? I can’t say, yet, but I can say that if there is any justice left in the court system of America, this lawsuit will be crushed quickly.
