Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, the same governor who said Trump wan’t doing enough for desperate states, refused to follow recommended orders and said that his state will not follow an “artificial deadline” to reopen certain businesses and ease up on coronavirus restrictions.
According to the Daily Caller, “Well, we haven’t got any kind of artificial deadline on that,” Hogan said in reference to President Trump’s reported suggestion that May 1 could be the beginning of restarting the US economy. “Look, everybody wants to get the country back on track as quickly as we can as long as we do in a safe manner.”
“You can’t just pick a date and flip a switch,” he added.
