It stands to reason that after winning the largest sporting event in the country, an athlete would be filled with positive energy.
But that’s not the case for New England Patriot’s safety Duron Harmon.
TMZ caught up with Harmon while he was walking with his son. Harmon was asked whether or not he would be attending the teams victory celebration in the White House.
“Naw, man!” Harmon was quick to reply. “They don’t want me in the White House, man.”
There have been no reports that anyone in the White House has something against Harmon. This Super Bowl was also relatively tame in terms of protests or demonstrations.
So who is it that doesn’t want Harmon there? Or could it be that Harmon himself, just doesn’t want to be hosted by President Trump?
That seems to be the more likely case, as Harmon could barely contain his excitement when the reporter asked if Harmon would be interested in meeting with former President Barack Obama.
“Obama, man, come holler at me man!” Harmon exclaimed. “We love you over here man!”
Harmon is the first player to state he would pass on visiting the White House. It’s sad that he failed to set a more respectable example, something younger generations could look up to.
