President Donald Trump has just fired national security advisor John Bolton, claiming that he “disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions.”
….I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.

Immediately after John Bolton wrote on twitter that he “offered to resign” on Monday and President Trump told him, “Let’s talk about it tomorrow.”

Trump’s broke the news just 90 minutes before Bolton was supposed to give a press briefing with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
Update: Bolton recently told Fox News, “Let’s be clear. I resigned.”
