Biden Administration Allows Immigrants to Choose Their Gender Identity for DHS Benefits
The Biden administration is continuing to push its radical, far-left agenda by allowing immigrants applying for benefits through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to mark their preferred gender identity, regardless of their other documentation. This move is another example of the Democrats putting politics before security and common sense.
According to a recent press release by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the agency is updating its policy to accept “the self-identified gender marker for individuals requesting immigration benefits.”
This means that the gender marker immigrants select does not need to match the gender marker indicated on their supporting documentation. Additionally, the USCIS has announced that people requesting benefits do not need to submit proof of their gender identity when submitting a request to change their gender marker, except for those submitting Form N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document.
The USCIS is currently only offering two gender markers, “Male” or “Female,” but DHS said it is working on adding an additional gender marker (“X”) for another or unspecified gender identity.
This policy change is in line with President Biden’s Executive Order 14012, Restoring Faith in Our Legal Immigration Systems and Strengthening Integration and Inclusion Efforts for New Americans, and Executive Order 13988, Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation, and Executive Order 14091, Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government.
Not only does this policy change create a loophole for potential security risks, but it is also part of the Democrats’ ongoing effort to erase the concept of gender entirely.
President Biden has previously praised transgender individuals, saying that they “shape our nation’s soul.” In a statement from the White House on Transgender Day of Visibility, he condemned “MAGA extremists” and pledged to “create a world where everyone can live without fear.”
This policy change is yet another example of the Biden administration’s disregard for the rule of law and national security. It’s time for Republicans to stand up and fight back against these dangerous policies that put our country at risk.
