Hey, fellow patriots! Did you hear the latest from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? She’s accusing the Republican-sponsored Parents Bill of Rights of being “fascist.” Can you believe it?
Here’s the truth: the bill seeks to strengthen parents’ knowledge of and involvement in their children’s education, including their right to know what’s being taught in schools, see reading material, be heard, see school budgets and spending, protect their child’s privacy, and be updated on any violent activity at school.
But AOC wants you to believe that the bill targets LGBT youth and censors racial content. That’s simply not true. The bill is not meant to harm any particular group but rather seeks to empower parents to make informed decisions about their child’s education.
So don’t believe the hype, folks. AOC’s accusations of fascism are unfounded and show a lack of understanding of the meaning of the term.
The Parents Bill of Rights is a step in the right direction towards achieving our goal of strengthening parental involvement in their children’s education and protecting individual rights.
Similar legislation has been passed and signed into law by various Republican-led states, such as Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis has signed and promoted multiple bills to battle CRT and DEI initiatives in the education system.
