President Donald Trump has announced a national emergency due to the threat coming from our southern border. An avoidable event that was forced to take place after Democrats refused to negotiate proper funding.
Turns out the Democrats are going to be sore losers about that as well.
Liberal leaning California led the charge followed by fourteen other states who have filed a lawsuit to stop the wall from being built.
If that wasn’t insulting enough, they made the announcement on President’s Day.
“Today, on Presidents Day, we take President Trump to court to block his misuse of presidential power,” Xavier Becerra, the attorney general in California declared.
“We’re suing President Trump to stop him from unilaterally robbing taxpayer funds lawfully set aside by Congress for the people of our states,” Becerra claimed.
The other states that have joined the lawsuit include:
- New Jersey
- New Mexico
- New York
This is not news to our president however, who anticipated such a low move.
“We will have a national emergency, and we will then be sued. And they will sue us in the Ninth Circuit, even though it shouldn’t be there,” Trump predicted.
“And we’ll possibly get a bad ruling and then we’ll get another bad ruling and then we’ll end up the Supreme Court,” he said, “and then hopefully we’ll get a fair shake and we’ll win in the Supreme Court, just like the ban.”
President Trump hasn’t made this declaration lightly and it’s obvious he’s prepared himself for the fight ahead.
